The Mountain View Alliance is a consortium of Open Specifications organizations and related special interest groups formed to accelerate the adoption of open specification-based equipment in the telecom industry. The goal of the MVA is to optimize effectiveness of its member organizations through coordinated marketing activities such as the Mountain View Alliance Communications Ecosystem Conference (MVACEC), joint meetings, and other outreach activities. The MVA facilitates multifaceted co-operation between its member organizations and promotes a diverse and thriving ecosystem of open-specification based components and platforms.
MVA member organizations are the Communications Platforms Trade Association (CP-TA), the Linux Foundation (LF), Open Communication Architecture Forum (OCAF), Optical Internetworking Forum (OIF), PICMG, RapidIO, SCOPE Alliance, the Service Availability Forum (SA Forum), and the newest member, the TM Forum.
The MVA hosts the MVACEC, an annual event that brings together companies and individuals from the entire COTS ecosystem in a conference and exhibition focused on the issues surrounding the evolution of the commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) implementations in the telecommunication and wireless infrastructure.
MVACEC is open to all who are interested in learning about and/or contributing knowledge to the community.
